"We grow great by dreams. All big men are dreamers. They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter's evening. Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring the to the sunshine and light, which comes away to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true." - Woodrow Wilson
These words could not ring truer in today's current economic climate. How many of us are willing to give up our big dreams when the times get tough and money gets tight? Money is a great driver, but sometimes we look only at the money and not the path. The key is to find an income opportunity that helps you gain your dream without sacrificing your morals and ethics. Granted, we may have incurred debts that must be repaid before following those big dreams, but we should never let our dreams go. That is what makes us get up in the morning and what makes us continue working when all you want to do is quit. If you don't have a big dream, you have lost a piece of the beauty of life. Without big dreams, you don't have the drive or initiative to take risks. If you don't have big dreams, how can you measure your progress? Without big dreams how can you enrich your life and the lives of those around you?
Big dreams are necessary for us to strive to do better and grow as people. I always had a dream of being my own boss, being in charge of my own destiny and becoming financially independent. I have been following that dream these last 4 years, and let me tell you, it has not been a walk in the park. The rewards along the way though are so inspiring, that I continue to work on achieving my dream. What you will find that happens when you work towards your dream is that opportunities will appear that you didn't think would ever be there. Sometimes these opportunities take you in a completely different direction. As long as you continue to hold tight onto your big dream, even a different direction could ultimately bring you closer to your dream. Because you are taking a risk on your dream, you end up finding other ways to start achieving those milestones along the way to achieving your dream. Anthony Robbins said, "There is always a way if I am committed." You have to believe to achieve.
As you follow that convoluted path towards your dream (it seems that you can never get straight to the objective, life gets in the way) your life becomes enriched. You discover things about yourself that you would have never found if you didn't push yourself to achieve. I think Jim Rohn says it best, "We can have more than we've got because we can become more than we are." If we don't nourish and protect our dreams, we will never become bigger and better than what we are today.
Beginning a second (and third, and fourth, etc) income source could be a means for you to get closer to achieving your dream. Today, more than ever it is important to have more than one income opportunity. With companies laying off large portions of it's labor force, we all need to be sure we have alternative ways to earn income. One of these alternative sources may become the path to which you can achieve your big dream. We can help you find a path that could very well set you on your personal road to achieving your big dream and financial freedom.
