More on UltraLuster Waterless Wash

Today is the second installment on what UltraLuster Waterless Wash and protective glaze can do for your paint and chrome. I mentioned yesterday that when using UltraLuster Waterless Wash you do not need to pre-wash your vehicle (car, truck, RV, boat, plane, etc).

The reason you don't need to pre-wash is that UltraLuster has the ability to emulsify the dirt and organic materials. UltraLuster has lubricants in it that will prevent any hard particles from scratching your painted surface. Water is not a lubricant, so when you are spraying water on your vehicle, all you are doing is using the water to push around all that scratchy dirt. With the lubricants in UltraLuster, there is a protective barrier between the scratchy dirt and your painted surface.

After you have sprayed UltraLuster on the dirt, you need to take either a soft terry towel, or more preferably a microfiber towel and gently work the UltraLuster into the finish of the paint. What you are doing here is working the UltraLuster into the microscopic dents in the paint, ultimately creating a smoother surface. A smoother surface produces a much brighter shine on the paint. I would like to note that UltraLuster is non-abrasive, so you are not removing any of the clear-coat from your painted or chromed surface. After you have gently worked the UltraLuster into the surface, take a different, clean microfiber towel and buff to a shine.

Once buffed, the UltraLuster on the surface becomes another layer of protection from the elements. What is left on the surface of your paint is an acrylic polymer that contains UV protectants to help reduce damage from the ultraviolet rays of the sun. This layer should last for months (depending on how you use your vehicle) before another application needs to be done.

If you use UltraLuster on Chrome, you will find it much easier to keep chrome bright. Water spots are much easier to remove because the UltraLuster dissolves the calcium that is left on the surface. You will also find that once you apply UltraLuster to the chrome, it is harder for finger prints to be left on the chromed surface. That is extremely handy since the oil from hands can begin to wear through the clear coat on the chrome and ultimately eat into the chromed finish.

Another very important benefit of using UltraLuster on your vehicle is that you are helping to save water. Each time a car is washed with water, approximately 100-200 gallons of our drinking water is contaminated with potentially harmful chemicals.

Later I will review some of the other products in the UltraLuster waterless technology line.
