How Hot is It?

Alright, everybody has been complaining about the heat around the country. Granted, it has been warm, but really How hot is it? Depending on what part of the country you live in, hot is a relative term.

Hot back east may be in the low 90's, but once you factor in humidity over 50%, then the heat index goes up and you are very uncomfortable. I don't know about you, but "heat indexes" mean nothing to me. I visualize a library with a bank of index cards (yeah, I know, I am dating myself again) and there are cards that are all about heat indices...

On the west coast, hot means anything between 85 and 90, with relatively low humidity. I don't think Californians really understand the concept of heat. Now here in Arizona, well we know all about HEAT.

It is so hot here, that after going in the pool, you get in the Jacuzzi to cool off.

It is so hot that you turn on the cold water tap and get scalding hot water. The cooler water comes from your hot water heater.

It is so hot in Arizona that you don't need a bidet, all you need to do is sit on the toilet and flush, and you get your own personal steam bath.

We wanted to go on a motorcycle ride the other day, when we turned on the GPS to get directions, it stated, "Are you KIDDING?"

It was so hot today, I saw two trees fighting over the dog...

It was so hot here that birds had to use potholders to get the worms out of the ground.

It was so hot that the cows here in Arizona are now giving evaporated milk...

When it gets this hot in Arizona, people at the malls don't fight for the closest parking space, they fight for the space with the shade...

Lastly, when you get in your car in Arizona, you learn very quickly that your seat belt buckle makes a very effective branding iron.
