Sick Bird Update

Well, bet you were wondering what topic we were going to cover...it isn't what I had planned for tonight, so you are going to have to wait another day or so... It has been a little challenging around here and got a little more challenging this evening. As you may remember, I had a sick bird on my hands. She had a pretty major stroke the beginning of September and lost the use of her feet (She is a Double-Yellow Head Amazon Parrot). Brings to mind the Monty Python jokes about the Parrot...but we won't go there tonight. Tonight is the Sick Bird Update.

Anyway, the bird still doesn't have the use of her feet, one is curled up, the other is open out, but there is blood flow to the feet, her toe nails have been growing at an amazing rate. I have been giving her our Stem cell enhancer products to hopefully help her to recover, and she is finally putting weight back on. So the good news is that my bird is ever so slowly healing, still can't walk, just pulls herself around. Her attitude is good, and with a parrot, you can tell a good attitude from a bad one. She sings, and does a little dance with her head (it used to be a whole body dance, but under the circumstances, all she can do is move her head around like Stevie Wonder...) and she is eating everything that is put in front of her.

The downside is that her toenails are growing at an amazing rate. The problem with that is that I have been keeping terry towels in her cage, so she has something clean and soft to move around on. Because her toenails have been growing, she is starting to get the nails tangled in the terry nap of the towels. I have been stalling cutting her nails because I wanted her to get just a little bit stronger before I stress her out cutting nails. (I don't know any animal that LIKES it's nails trimmed). Last thing I want to do is to stress her out and literally give her a heart attack. Anyway, since her nails are now so long, she is getting tangled quite a bit.

Tonight, when I come home, I first notice that there is dark stuff on her foot. Initially I thought she got poop on her foot, then I noticed her one toe nail is twisted at an odd angle. Taking a closer look at her foot, that dark stuff was not poo, but some blood (not much thankfully). So, in the sink she goes for her bath (she hates it because she sits in the water instead of having it sprinkled - I need to soak her butt for obvious reasons...) and I soak her foot as clean as I can.

What appears to have happened while I was gone was that since she cannot feel her feet, she somehow got her toenail tangled in the towel and practically ripped the whole nail out of her foot. Makes you kinda cringe...makes me still pucker... So I have spent most of this evening trying to get the bird cleaned up and somehow protect that toe from further damage. I have also removed all terry towels from her cage and have now covered it in newspaper and shredded newspaper. It is dirtier for her, but she won't get her nails stuck anymore...hopefully.

Usually a bath really tires her out, so at least she wasn't moving around too much. The problem is now that the nail is so damaged and loose, any movement whatsoever is causing her some bleeding. She does not appear to notice, which is good news, but I don't want her banging that toe around any more than necessary. So, out came the gauze pads and tape, and the Bitter Apple (a spray-on product that tastes bad so the birds won't chew what is sprayed). I managed to wrap a sort of bandage around her one toe (am considering wrapping both toes together next time...very hard to wrap one toe of a bird..) and tape it on tight enough that it won't fall off.

So far, so good, she is sitting in the cage with the big white bandage over one toe. She has not YET chewed on the bandage, which was sprayed liberally with Bitter Apple, so hopefully tomorrow she will continue to leave that bandage alone. I immobilized the whole toe and nail, hoping that it will do what it needs to do, either fall off naturally, or heal back to the toe.... She will be getting a stronger dose of our stem cell enhancer product so that her body has more adult stem cells wandering around to help her body to renew itself... and hopefully she will do a lot of resting tomorrow.

The upshot of this diatribe is that I did not get all my research completed for my "other" much-anticipated blog topic, so you will all have to wait a tad longer. With luck, the bird will be hale and hardy within the next few days (she gets really tired for about 2 days after a bath) so she should be able to spend the time healing and not picking at her bandage. I will let you know how things fare down the road... So goes our sick bird update... I think I should have been a vet...

Until tomorrow...

Epicurean Marketplace

Well, Saturday we participated in an Epicurean Marketplace at the AJ's Fine Foods at 31311 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale. If you have never been to this AJ's, you are missing an awesome experience. The people there were great, the customers were wonderful and to top it all off, the weather was perfect.

For those of you who may have seen the AJ's Fine Foods, but never entered, it is a boutique gourmet market serving Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona. The AJ's concept was created in 1985 with a mission to bring an upscale gourmet market experience to the Vally. Since then, they have grown to include 13 markets in the metro Phoenix area. They have specialty items, prime cuts, floral item, gifts and so much more. If you are looking for that hard-to find wine, or micro-brew beer, this is the place to go. I was drooling over the huge selection of micro-brews and would have spent every penny earned on what they had in the cooler if I had not been working the Epicurean Marketplace outside. AJ's is like no grocery store I have been in before.

The Epicurean Marketplace on Saturday was a sight to behold. They had about 50 vendors outside, many of them were fine art vendors. There were also food vendors offering many delectable items to sample. There were enough different vendors offering samples that you could easily make a meal from the samples alone. Many of the items sampled were also offered by AJ's for sale on a regular basis. It was wonderful to be able to taste these items before purchasing something I have never sampled.

The artwork showcased outside was wonderful. There were many paintings, oils, sculptures and jewelry. There was also a gentleman who hand painted bird houses. These bird houses were so beautiful that I would not leave them outside. On a few of his bird houses he had even individually shingled them with copper. These bird houses were works of art. If you have the opportunity to visit an Epicurean Marketplace, I would highly recommend that you at least wander by. There was so much to offer, and such a wide variety of art and food, that most people would have found something to delight in. We were able to offer our Waterless Cleaning technology products and StemTech, our stem cell nutritional products. We had a great opportunity to talk to many people at this event.

Next week we will be attending another Marketplace at the Basha's in Queen Creek. Again there should be a wide variety of vendors for your viewing and eating pleasure. It will be from 10-4 this Saturday, October 16th. Hopefully we will see you there. If you have questions about location, or questions about our products, please feel free to e-mail us, we would love to hear from you.

Until tomorrow...

Stem Cell Therapy In Use Now

Did you know that there are several stem cell therapies that are currently being used routinely to treat some diseases? I would like to talk about the stem cell therapy in use now and contrast that with our Stem Cell Nutritional supplements by Stemtech.

There are stem cell therapies that are used regularly now, both for pets and for people. The people-type therapies include adult stem cell transplant from bone marrow stem cells; from peripheral blood stem cells and there is umbilical cord blood stem cell transplants The most common type of stem cell therapy is the bone marrow transplant, which is used to treat leukemia and other types of cancer as well as various blood disorders. These treatments can be very expensive (especially for those without insurance coverage) and can be uncomfortable.

A bone marrow transplant requires that the patient's bone marrow stem cells are replaced with those from a healthy, matching donor. All of the patient's existing bone marrow is killed using a combination of chemotherapy and radiation, then a sample of the donor's bone marrow (with healthy adult stem cells) is introduced into the patient's blood stream. A successful transplant would mean that the adult stem cells that were introduced migrate into the patient's bone marrow and then begins producing new, healthy adult stem cells to replace the ones that were killed off.

This type of therapy is extreme and necessary in certain situations. For those of us who may not have extreme medical conditions requiring total bone marrow transplantation, we have a stem cell nutritional product that allows your own body to work on healing itself. Our flagship product, StemEnhance, allows your body to release about 25% more adult stem cells from your bone marrow into your blood stream. This increase in adult stem cells allows your body to heal itself better because those migrating adult stem cells are essentially easier to access and utilize. Without going through a transplant situation, your body now has more adult stem cells in the blood stream, which means it can heal areas faster. The best thing about StemEnhance is that it is a completely natural product and does not introduce anything artificial into your system. All StemEnhance does is allow your body to release more adult stem cells into the blood stream.

Our next product, StemFlo, helps to keep your blood flowing better throughout your body. By having improved circulation, your body is better able to carry the adult stem cells to the areas in need. Our last and newest product, ST-5, enhances the migration of your adult stem cells into the cells that are in need. The best part about ST-5 is that it is a powder (all natural) that can be mixed into almost any liquid and then consumed. It
  • Supports stem cells’ ability to migrate
  • Balanced, Sustained energy
  • Bio-available vitamins & minerals
  • Appetite-satisfying protein & fiber
  • Supports healthy body-fat & muscle
    (low in calories)
All three of these products combine to provide the tools for your body to renew itself and will reduce your need for any additional vitamin supplements. We also have adult stem cell products for Dogs and Horses too. Since all of the products are natural, there should be minimal negative reactions to them.

Taking StemEnhance, StemFlo and ST-5, or any combination, will help your body to heal itself and work on staying healthier overall. If you have any questions regarding these products or our Pet products, please feel free to contact us through e-mail. Our website also has a large amount of information and Frequently Asked Questions that is also very useful.

Until tomorrow...

Need for Small Business Motivation

How do you stay motivated in your small business when it feels like you are continually struggling? You start struggling with the tough questions: is now the right time for my business; do I have the right product and service mix for the current customer base and lastly, should I call it quits? These same questions have most likely plagued all small business owners at some point (or at many points) of their business career. There is a very strong need for small business motivation. It is very tough right now to remain successful and when times get tough, it is hard to remain motivated to keep your small business going.

We have discussed in other articles the need to keep an eye on your competition to see what they are doing correctly or incorrectly. Then you strive to fill the gaps that your competition cannot fill. We have also discussed keeping your products and services appropriate for your customer base, changing or adjusting products and services as your client tastes change. What we didn't review lately is how to remain motivated while you are working to keep your small business profitable and hopefully growing.

One way to know you are going in the right direction with your business is to regularly measure your progress against your established milestones. These metrics should have been included in your business plan, but if you did not include any measurements for growth, now would be a good time to get those benchmarks developed. By measuring your existing business metrics against what you believe should be, you are able to verify either improvement or problems. Either way, you will be motivated, if you are doing better than expected, you will be motivated to continue the momentum. If you are not doing as well as expected, then you are more motivated to get your small business back on the path to financial success. Either way, instead of worrying about where your business might be, you have measured your current business standings and know for certain where you should be taking your business going forward.

Another way to stay motivated with your small business is to talk to others about what you are doing and what you plan on doing in the near future with your business. Because you have taken your ideas out into the light (talking to people) you are now making yourself more accountable for your plans, others will begin asking how you are progressing. Knowing that you have others watching with interest your success will help keep you motivated and continue on with the plans you had discussed. Sometimes we come up with so many plans, we get overwhelmed and end up not implementing any plans. By discussing these new ideas with close friends or other business associates, you can manage and prioritize the ideas (some for implementation now, others for implementation down the road) and then remain motivated to keep your new ideas moving into your business.

Lastly, remember that difficulty is part of being in business. If you look at almost anyone who has started and run a small business, most of the time the business did not grow without difficulties. You need to understand and appreciate that you will be working under pressure (a lot with a new business start-up). Some tasks will be much more difficult than other tasks, and all tasks will most likely be more difficult than you first thought they would be. The difficulty of the task should not stop you from performing the task, just keep in mind it will most likely be challenging. If it was easy to start and continue to run a small business, everyone and their brother would be in a small business. The motivation here is knowing that everyone who has started a small business has experienced difficulties. The bigger motivation is knowing that once you have passed that difficult stage, you can look back and appreciate where you came from and enjoy where you currently are. Remember, odds are that if the task is difficult, the rewards will be higher, and the personal satisfaction will be greater once you have completed the task.

Hopefully these points will help you to remain motivated while you are building your small business. The current economic times are very tough, many businesses are shutting their doors, now is the time to really focus on keeping your business successful because once the economy starts on it's upswing (and yes, it will come up again) you will be riding the front of that wave and wonder why you questioned your business.

If you are looking for a second (or third, or fourth...) income along the lines of a home based business, we may have something that would interest you (www.hawgwash.net). We offer business opportunities in StemTech (adult stem cell nutritionals), Pre-Paid Legal, Waterless cleaning technology and in Mona Vie nutritional drinks. These business opportunities all have a great pay plan and are very reliable business opportunities. Please feel free to contact us with any questions regarding these or any other business opportunity you are considering.

Until tomorrow...

Stem Cell Research in the news again..

When driving around running errands last week(assuming I am not on a motorcycle) I try to make good use of my time by listening to news. I find I get more news in a shorter period of time than if I watch the news on TV. As I was listening to the news last week, I heard a brief report that researchers are trying to get government funding re-approved to begin embryonic stem cell research again. In mid August this year the courts had halted new Federal funding for Embryonic Stem Cell research. The reason for the halt in funding is again the concern of the destruction of embryos. It seems that every month or so stem cell research is in the news again.

Many people believe that embryonic stem cell research will help improve lives of many, and possibly save many more lives. The hope is that embryonic stem cells, when used properly, can cure diseases, deformities and repair spinal cord injuries. There is another type of stem cell that can, in time, improve your overall health, the adult stem cell. Granted the results are not as dramatic, but if we can get a head start on keeping our bodies in optimal health, we are better off in the long run. We all have adult stem cells and if we harness the power of our own adult stem cells, then we can see improvements in our personal quality of life. What our adult stem cells can do is to go out and help our bodies to renew themselves. These adult stem cells will travel to the area of need and turn into the cells for tissues, muscles or organs that need to be repaired. As we age, our adult stem cells may not be able to get out as much and repair the areas in need in your body.

We have a relatively new product line by StemTech, that enhances your own body's ability to release it's own adult stem cells into the circulatory system. By allowing your body to release up to 25% more of its own adult stem cells into the circulation system, you are improving your body's ability to renew itself. Did you know that your intestinal lining is completely renewed every 5 days? Or that your liver is completely renewed every 3-5 years? Your pancreas and lungs are completely renewed every 4-5 years and your heart can renew itself every 15-20 years. If you can take a product that allows your body to release more adult stem cells for renewal, wouldn't that be a good thing?

The great part about the adult stem cells is that it is not nearly as controversial as embryonic stem cell research. From the time we are born, we all have the adult stem cells in our body. Our product, StemEnhance does nothing more than allow your body to release about 25% more of your adult stem cells from your bone marrow into your blood stream. Then, once in the blood stream, these adult stem cells migrate to the areas in need and go to work, turning into the cells that need repairing or replacing. There is no embryo to worry about destroying, there is no controversial research, heck, there is even no significant controversial news to report on the research of adult stem cells. Our core product, StemEnhance, naturally allows your body to release more of it's own stem cells so that the body can naturally renew itself.

So, despite all of the legal battles on the ethics of embryonic stem cell research, we do have an alternative to keep our bodies healthier today, using our own adult stem cells. If you are interested in more information on adult stem cells, click here. If you want to look at the complete StemTech product line, check out www.hawgwash.stemtechbiz.com. We are also always available to answer any e-mail questions you may have.

Until tomorrow...

Sick Bird Update

I wanted to provide a brief update tonight on how the bird is doing. No, she didn't pass away, I just didn't want to bore everyone with a daily update on a bird recovering from a massive stroke. The good news is that she is getting stronger each day. The bad news is that she still cannot use either of her feet.

The bird has been getting a steady dose of StemEnhance and ST-5 with Migrastem every day. Even though these items are intended for human consumption, I have reduced the dose down to a bird-sized amount. What I have been doing is putting approximately a quarter teaspoon of ST-5 in a quarter cup of water. I have punched a hole in one of the StemEnhance pills and sprinkle a light amount of StemEnhance on top of the water and ST-5 mixture. Both of these products are quite soluble, so it is very easy to mix the whole thing up into a very drinkable mixture. As the day progresses, I do add water (the evaporation rate here in AZ is pretty high) and change the mixture out every day. The stem cell nutrition works well for Zardoz as it has been working well for me too. (Click here if you are interested in any of the StemTech products. I would love to discuss them with you further)

The bird (Zardoz) drinks deeply from this mixture several times a day. I also make sure that she has a good supply of fresh clean water. She is now also back to eating some bird seeds along with cooked pasta, rice, pizza crust, and anything else she even remotely desires. I realize this is not necessarily the healthiest mixture, but right now, she is still so thin that anything she is willing to eat, she gets. She is definitely getting strong every day, she is preening now, even though she cannot clean her underside since she cannot stand on either leg.

Her tail feathers are getting pretty mangled right now because she still backs up more than pulls herself forward, but her legs (not feet...yet) are getting a little better. She is not using her wings quite as much to move around and is balancing better on her legs. She still gets her feet tangled underneath her, but I am hoping with time, she will regain full use of both of her feet. One foot is showing some small signs of movement, the other foot (the one that is curled) has opened up for a little while today, and is now curled up again.

Her attitude is much better, she is getting feisty and loves to flap her wings (her version of flying) upon being lifted from her cage. Because she appears to really like to stretch out her wings and flap, each time we take her out of her cage, we run around the house with her in our hands and let her believe that she is flying around. Each day she flaps her wings for a longer period of time, so I know she is slowly improving. The attached pictures are showing what she looks like in her personal "flight simulator".

I guess there is more good news, we are getting more exercise because we are literally running around the house with the bird in our hands. Granted I have not weighted the bird (more afraid than anything else) but she is feeling slightly heavier than when she first had her stroke. I can see that her chest is slowly starting to fill out, so she is beginning to put some weight back on. As she is gaining weight, I am losing weight. Perhaps I am providing her the weight. That is a thought, but I really don't want the bird to gain more than a pound or two, and I really want to lose more than a pound or two.

That is the sick bird update for this week. Hopefully the next time you all see Zardoz, you will see a healthy bird that is able to perch and climb around her cage. I am doing a lot of Physical Therapy with her when I am not running all around town.

Until tomorrow...

The role of stem cells in exercise

This weekend I have been more active than I have been in a while. Thanks to my continued use of the StemTech products, I did not feel the pain as much as I expected. Actually, I had felt my muscles get really tired after my work-outs, but by the next day, I had no discomfort, and was very pleased. I truly believe that the additional release of stem cells in my system allowed me to feel minimal pain after some pretty good work-outs. I would like to briefly review the role of stem cells in exercise.

Thanks to years of research, science has now established that the efficiency of your body's renewal system depends upon your body's ability to release adult stem cells. In a nutshell, the greater your ability to release adult stem cells, the more efficient your renewal system and the better your body's ability to sustain good health.

For those of us "weekend athletes", after a weekend of exercise, we have all most likely felt muscle soreness. That soreness has been thought to be a result of microscopic tearing of the muscle fibers. The amount of tearing (and soreness) depends on how hard and how long you exercise and what type of exercise you do. As your body repairs (in us older people, that can be a slow process..) these microscopic tears, we ultimately become stronger.

By giving extra support to the body's natural renewal system with StemEnhance and StemFLO, we can support this natural process of recovery from exercise in order to build strength and stamina. The advantage of having your body more rapidly repair and renew itself could cause you to ultimately want to exercise more, since it doesn't hurt as bad for as long.

I have found that I am much more willing to work out, even if it is just on weekends, because I do not get as sore for nearly as long as I used to. I feel stronger faster, and am not groaning to get out of bed the next day. That allows me not to dread the next work out session. Since I know I won't hurt so much, I am more willing to work out more often, and subsequently am getting in better shape than I have in a long time.

If you are interested in obtaining more information on the StemTech products, please check out our website. Otherwise, please feel free to e-mail me with any questions you may have.

Until tomorrow...

Miscellaneous Ramblings

Here it is Wednesday night, and I don't have anything specific to cover. Actually, that is not a true statement, I have a lot to talk about, just no specific topic tonight. Tonight we go into miscellaneous ramblings.

Received my new STEMTech product, ST5 with MigraStem and had my first glass of the new product. I really liked it, put it in 8 ounces of water and added some blueberries. The mild vanilla taste complemented the blueberries very nicely. Looking back, I did notice a slow, but steady increase in energy, especially since I had a particularly bad night's sleep last night. Hopefully, this product will allow me to be more active during the day so that I can sleep better at night. Looking forward to playing with different recipes for this drink. What is really cool is that you can put ST5 in a warm liquid (not boiling, but warm) so in the winter time, you can have a nice warm drink with ST5, you are not stuck only drinking it cold. I will keep you posted on my personal progress with ST5.

On another subject, have been busier than a one-armed paper-hanger here in the office. I have promised getting a new website up and active over 2 weeks ago, and have not gotten very far with it. I continue to work on that, but other chores and tasks have been rearing their ugly heads...

Looking forward to getting back on the road again. Really sad that we were unable to make it to Sturgis motorcycle rally this year, really miss everyone there. We are looking forward to being there next year. Family issues and concerns took priority, so we opted at the last minute not to attend this year. The decision not to go to Sturgis was one of the most difficult decisions we have ever made. We haven't missed a Sturgis motorcycle rally in over 10 years. We are missing our Sturgis family and assuming all goes well next year, we will definitely be there.

Lastly, we are looking a a new start-up company that will have an awesome new product available by the end of September 2010. Since we have been close to home this last month (again due to family concerns) we have been doing a lot of research and work with this new company. Keep your eyes on this blog by the end of August for major announcements that you don't want to miss.

If you are looking for a second income to supplement your current income, please feel free to check out our website. If you have questions, you can e-mail us at hawgwash1@yahoo,com or leave a comment on this blog.

Have a wonderful evening. This ends my miscellaneous ramblings for the month...really...

Until tomorrow...

Business Opportunity in Stem Cell Nutrition

We have talked on several other occasions about a company that we work with, STEMTech. This company's primary focus is on Stem Cell Nutrition products. In prior blogs, we talked about the differences between Embryonic Stem Cells and Adult Stem Cells. STEMTech products allow your body to naturally release it's own adult stem cells, so there is no moral or ethical dilemma involved.

What hasn't really been talked about was the business opportunity involved with STEMTech. Especially now, after their 4th Annual Convention. At the recent Convention, STEMTech announced enhancements to their compensation plan that makes it much easier for everyone to earn more money faster. The best part is that the hurdles are not any more difficult to achieve.

Let's start at the beginning, why would you want to start a home based business with STEMTech? For starters, they are the only company in the world that has a scientifically proven Stem Cell Enhancer, StemEnhance. This makes the company unique and therefore less competition for you. The only disadvantage is that Stem Cell Nutrition is a relatively new concept. Most people, when you mention Stem Cells, immediately think you are referring to the embryonic stem cell research that is so controversial. STEMTech's StemEnhance product uses all natural botanicals. The most important of those is an aquatic botanical called Aphanizomenon flos-aquae (don't worry, I can't say the word either...we all just use the abbreviation AFA). AFA has been safely consumed for 3 decades. The difference is the patented concentrate that STEMTech uses. The concentrate of AFA in StemEnhance has been proven to release about 25% more of your own adult stem cells into your blood stream. This is not just a claim, but it has been documented in a double blind, placebo controlled cross-over study which was published in a peer-reviewed medical journal.

So, this company has a unique, patented product, great. Why else should you consider this as a business opportunity instead of just getting the products for your personal use? Golly, if you think about it, haven't people become millionaires with just one, unique product? STEMTech offers a family of products that are focused on your overall health and on promoting stem cell nutrition. You have StemEnhance, which allows your body to release 25% more of it's own adult stem cells naturally, StemFLO which improves your circulatory system so that those adult stem cells can get to where they need to go, and now the new, ST5 with MigraStem which allows your adult stem cells to more effectively migrate into the tissues in need. STEMTech has proven that they know where their core competency is and is not wavering from it. All of their products help you to naturally utilize your own adult stem cells.

On top of the originality and timeliness of the products, STEMTech's compensation plan is absolutely wonderful. It is not a binary plan, so you don't have to worry about getting a certain number of people on either your right or left side (that always got me confused). It is a simple, step-up compensation plan. You can earn profits on personally enrolled retail-direct customer orders (basically anyone can order retail products through your website without signing up for anything), you can earn rebates up to 20% on all personal wholesale orders and you can easily earn commissions up to 20% on all non-autoship orders within your downline.

The step-up portion is that as you earn points, you can move up the compensation plan. The points are not cumulative, but once you get people ordering regularly from you, or you get people interested in becoming distributors, your points pretty naturally grow each month. What is really cool is the new bonuses that were announced at the conference. There is a one-time FastStart Bonus that is available each time you enroll a new Distributor who purchases a FastStart Pack. The FastStart bonuses are paid weekly if you choose to have direct deposit (which I think is the coolest thing since sliced bread - no more waiting for a check to show up in your mailbox). This is super easy money for you to earn.

There are also three more new bonus pools that were announced this convention also: the FastStart Turbo Pool, the New Director Pacesetter Pool and the Incentive Contest Pool. I will not bore you with the details of these pools, but if you are interested in more details, I can send a copy of the overview to you for review.

As you can see, the STEMTech business opportunity could be very lucrative. What is also great is if you know people who will move heaven and earth for their pets. STEMTech also has their stem cell enhancement products for dogs and horses too. So as you can see, STEMTech has managed to expand your ability to touch many people, but still stay within their core competency, and not get distracted by selling dozens upon dozens of products that you can't keep track of.

If you are interested in learning more about this business opportunity please feel free to contact us with your questions (e-mail - hawgwash1@yahoo.com). If this business opportunity does not really interest you bur you are still looking for something to do, please check out our website for other ideas.

Until tomorrow...

More STEMTech Information

Well, I am pleased to see that already STEMTech has posted their new logo on our back office. I am sure it is going to take some time to get the new logo inserted all over the website, but I really like the new look. It is clean, edgier (is that really a word?) and just cool. The logo I have posted here is the new one that was unveiled on Friday. I have even more STEMTech information, I have been eagerly watching for the specifics on the new ST5 with MigraStem that was also announced at the Friday web cast.

STEMTech has posted the product information on the new product, ST5. You can read all about this wonderful new product here. We are all learning about this new product together since I was unable to attend the annual conference this year. You can bet, I will strive to move heaven and earth in order to attend next year's convention. The biggest conflict I had was that the convention coincided with our preparations for heading out to Custer, SD for the 70th annual Sturgis Motorcycle rally.

In a nutshell, what ST5 can do for your body is to allow your adult stem cells to be absorbed more readily into the tissues. ST5 provides high quality proteins, essential vitamins, minerals and enzymes for balanced energy. The coolest part about ST5 is that it is not in a pill form like StemEnhance and StemFLO. Granted, I don't mind the pills, but it is really nice to not have everything in a pill form. I can also mix ST5 in virtually any liquid, so if I want a quick pick-me-up juice, I can add ST5 to it and get an even better boost.

I should have some ST5 here in about a week, so if any of you are local to me and interested in trying our new product, ST5, please feel free to contact me to arrange a meeting and tasting. I can't wait to get my new product and play with it. I have had such good results with the StemEnhance and StemFLO that I can only imagine how great I will feel by adding ST5 to that mix. By the way, our dogs are continuing to be fantastic with the StemPETS product. They each get a half a tablet each day, and now we are using it as a "treat", even though they only get a half a tablet each day.

Now you can see why I am so excited tonight. The information on ST5 is out, the product should be shipping shortly and we will be able to continue on our improved health... That is all I have for now. If you need or want more STEMTech information, please feel free to e-mail at hawgwash1@yahoo.com with your questions.

Until tomorrow...

New Product Release from STEMTech

Well, I was unable to attend the annual STEMTech convention this year, but did have the opportunity to watch some of the events through the Internet. It was not as good as being there, but even through the Internet you could feel and see the energy at this annual event. The biggest buzz regarding the annual convention was the new product release from STEMTech. We were not given any indication of what the product could be, other than it worked with the existing STEMTech product line.

As the web cast opened, we were introduced to Ray Carter (President and CEO)and Christian Drapeau (Chief Science Officer). They danced around the idea of telling us what the new product would be but decided against telling all of us until later in the meeting. The excitement in the room was palpable. What Ray and Christian did unveil was a newer, cleaner STEMTech logo, which is great, and they introduced some new and even better ways to earn additional income with STEMTech. They also simplified the brochures for all of us to use. Not only that, but they have finally come out with a simplified brochure for us to explain the compensation plan.

The compensation plan for STEMTech is already quite good, but there was no real overview of how the plan worked. You actually had to sit down with others and discover your own short version of the comp plan. Now we will have the ability to have a standardized short version which we can leave in your hands for review. Our various groups had developed our own simplified version of the compensation plan, but this now makes the summarization global and consistent. That was AWESOME!

After reviewing the brochures, Ray and Christian explained some new global bonus pools that will be available for all of us starting August 1st. These pools look awesome, but it was explained so fast (and the web cast was a bit bumpy..) that I will not even briefly cover those here until the plans are posted on the website.

Finally, after much teasing and a break Christian came back out to start telling us about the ingredients and concept that is part of the new product release from STEMTech. To backtrack a little, we currently have our flagship product, StemEnhance which allows your body to release about 25% more of your own adult stem cells from your bone marrow into your circulatory system. We then have a product, StemFLO which improves blood circulation and helps the released stem cells to be circulated into the areas of need. These products used together do a great job in keeping us feeling good, helping our bodies to renew themselves and for overall good health. So, what could be added to this that would enhance what we already have????

It is a product called ST5 with Migrastem (not sure on the spelling, couldn't see the PowerPoint slides well through the web cast). According to Christian, in scientific studies conducted, Migrastem (sp?) supports the adult stem cell migration into the tissues of the body. When a tissue is in need, Migrastem manages to improve the migration of the needed adult stem cells into that particular tissue. Now we have a means of not only releasing more adult stem cells into our circulatory system, and improved circulation so the adult stem cells can get to where they need to go, we now have a system that will allow those adult stem cells get absorbed better into those tissues in need. Pretty awesome stuff.

ST5 is a powder that can be mixed in any liquid. It will aid in the body's renewal process, will provide balanced/sustained energy, provides added vitamins and minerals so that you do not have to continue taking those multi-vitamins, because of the protein and fiber in ST5, it is an appetite satisfying product (you will not feel as hungry because your body is getting the protein and fiber it needs) and it low calorie which helps reduce body fat and improve muscles.
Some highlights of ST5 is that it is 150 calories and is more of a dietary supplement, not a meal replacement; it has 14 grams of protein, 2 grams of fat. It is gluten free and has no artificial items in it at all. ST5 sounds like an awesome product, I can't wait to get my hands on some and play with it.

After the conference I will have more specifics on ST5, but you can bet, I am very excited about this addition to the STEMTech product line. The attendees at the conference were able to drink samples of ST5 and I believe ST5 was ready for purchase (the web cast ended before that part of the conference was over - imagine my frustration when the web cast ended when Christian was in mid-sentence...). Keep your eye on this blog on Monday to see what else has occurred at the conference. There was no other scheduled web cast, so we will all have to wait until after conference for us to get the remaining information from the attendees. The new product release from STEMTech, ST5 is very exciting, once we get it in our hot little hands, you can taste it and start feeling immediate benefits... We all look forward to getting this product out into the field and showing the world how this additional product will help improve overall health and wellness.

Until tomorrow...

Business Opportunities with Hawgwash

We are currently reviewing business opportunities with Hawgwash, LLC. Last night we reviewed a business opportunity through the STEMTech products (stem cell nutritional products). After re-reading the information that was provided to you last night, I wondered, where was the business opportunity in that conversation. Apparently, I have been woefully lacking in talking about the business opportunities. I have been providing all kinds of information regarding the products by STEMTech, mainly because they are awesome products, but I completely missed the boat regarding talking about the amazing business opportunity that can be found with STEMTech. Shame on me. I will rectify that oversight tonight and then move onto some other business opportunities that are offered through Hawgwash, LLC too.

As great as the STEMTech products are, if you are in a financial bind, even the best products for your health will seem to be unattainable. Fortunately for us, STEMTech has a great business opportunity built behind the awesome products they offer. If you are unsure what you may be able to do with STEMTech and don't want to do a lot of reading up front, they have created a simple to understand video summarizing the business opportunity. The difference with this product is that you can now offer the first stem cell enhancer to people to help them to improve their own health and wellness. If you are not healthy, how can you enjoy any additional income you may earn. Since this is the first product of it's kind to the market, you end up being in the right place at the right time. You have all probably heard something regarding stem cell research, and the STEMTech products utilize not embryonic stem cells, but your body's own natural adult stem cells.

Because of this increased media coverage, you get almost automatic advertising. All you have to do is mention that you have a stem cell nutritional, and most people have already heard something and are willing to hear more. Once you have their interest, all you have to do is to provide them with a little more information and your business is on its way to success.

I will not go into detail with the compensation plan for STEMTech, except to say that it is an excellent plan. This blog is not the forum to go into nitty-gritty details of any compensation plan, but if you are interested in obtaining more information on the STEMTech business opportunity, please feel free to either call me (the phone number was on the bottom of the attached video) or e-mail me at hawgwash1@yahoo.com with your questions. I look forward to hearing from you.

Tomorrow we will cover the other business opportunities that are offered through Hawgwash, LLC in the event that the stem cell nutritional products and that opportunity do not rock your boat.

Until tomorrow...

Hawgwash and the STEMTech Opportunity

Yesterday I talked a little about the multiple business opportunities we at Hawgwash, LLC have to offer. We have added business opportunities that, in our belief, cover a wide range of interests. Our goal is to provide the customer with as many options for building a second income as possible. Not every opportunity either appeals to everyone, nor is every opportunity going to work for every person. Tonight we are going to cover the STEMTech business opportunity.

We chose various business opportunities that would complement what we do at Hawgwash, LLC. The first business opportunity we are going to review tonight is our newest addition, STEMTech International. STEMTech is the newest business opportunity we have added to our nutritional line and personally, I think it is one of the most innovative and cutting-edge opportunities on the market to date. We were first introduced to STEMTech International in early December 2009. The compensation plan looked great, the website was awesome, but the most important thing we needed to know was if the product was something we could personally and professionally stand behind.

In order to discover that, we researched the concepts of Stem Cell Nutrition and ordered products for us to personally try. As we waited for our order to arrive, we continued to research both the company and the concept of stem cell nutritionals. By the time our product and the distributor kit arrived, we were well informed about who STEMTech was and what they stood for. I had a very difficult time locating any negative information on STEMTech (which is excellent for any market) and found relatively little competition in the niche market they were going after.

The distributor materials were excellent. They materials were easy to read and understand. The compensation plan was not as complicated as many that we had seen before. What I really liked about STEMTech though was the concept of the stem cell nutrition. Many other nutritional companies make claims about health achieved, but STEMTech actually had medical journals documenting their statements. The more we learned about the company and the product, the more excited we became. This is a new nutritional supplement, it is cutting-edge technology, but the best thing is that the statements are backed up with proven scientific studies. If you looked to other nutritional companies, you would be hard pressed to locate the same quality of research that has gone into the StemEnhance product.

So, technically on paper, the company looked excellent and the products looked very solid. The next hurdle that had to be covered was, did the products work for US? Well, for those of you who may have been watching our website over the years, you may have noticed that we did not include any STEMTech links or information on our website until the end of January. That was because we became the human guinea pigs for the STEMTech products. We wanted to be able to say that we have personally used and can personally vouch for the products.

We do not believe in promoting anything that we can not personally stand behind. Ethically, we cannot (actually do not wish to) promote a product that we personally don't believe works well. We will also not promote a business opportunity that we feel will not benefit our customers for one reason or another. So, at times you may see us promoting different products on our website, but rarely will you see us promoting new opportunities unless we are VERY sure that the particular opportunity is viable and ethical.

So, after a month and a half of personally using the StemEnhance and StemFLO products, we felt confident that our customers would experience similar improvements in their overall health and well being. I know that by the end of January, I personally saw significant improvements in how my body was behaving and as the months have gone by, I have experienced better and better overall health. I have been able significantly reduce the number of over the counter medications for some personal afflictions, and am happy to say that I have completely eliminated other medications entirely from my life. I am thrilled with the physical improvements I have experienced and feel that my quality of life is better than it has been in many, many years.

After experimenting successfully with the StemEnhance and StemFLO products, I then decided to put our dogs on the StemPETS product. As you may have read in previous blogs, StemPETS has done wonders for our dogs also. We are continuing to monitor the response of our dogs to the extended use of StemPETS, but to date, all we have seen are improvements.

So, in terms of product and business opportunity, we can wholeheartedly endorse the STEMTech products for others, if they are interested in promoting a nutritional business opportunity or are interested in improving personal health. Tomorrow we will review one of our other business opportunities.

Until tomorrow...

Are you Healthy?

Today we are going to change the topic a bit. We have talked much about what is going on, where we have been in the last 2 months, and our pet's health. But beyond all of those items, tie biggest question that you need to ask yourself is, Are you Healthy?

If you are not healthy, you cannot do a fraction of the things you want to do. Not only that, but your attitude may also reflect your declining health. If you are not healthy, you will find yourself doing less and less and before you know it, you are letting things fall apart around you. The funny thing is, if you are not healthy, you may not even notice that you are letting little things slip at first. Sometimes you may look at a task that you would have in the past taken for granted, and decided that the task was too much for you to handle now. If that starts happening, you need to ask, are you healthy?

"A life filled with quality in work, thoughts, companions and activities can strengthen your natural immunity to germs, viruses and negative hereditary influences". - Stephen Blauer

You may have noticed that when you don't feel great, not sick, but just tired, that little tasks seem insurmountable. Most likely those tasks seem so difficult because your body is trying to heal itself and doesn't want to be distracted being forced to do other things. In this busy world we are currently in, and especially in this extremely stressful job market, it is very easy to forget to listen to your body and determine if you are healthy. Many people get really stressed about their financial situation (actually, I don't know ANYBODY who doesn't get stressed about that..) I realize that the term "healthy" is a relative term, but you know when you are not performing at your best, or when you are feeling run-down. It is important to at least listen to your body and be aware that something may not be good. As you become less healthy, you may also tend to make bad business desisions. It is critical to remain healthy so that you can make the best decisions possible when decisions are needed.

High stress levels can constrict circulation and can negatively affect the organs of the body. If you notice that you are under a lot of stress, you may want to consider some methods of relieving some of that stress [and no, shooting the object of your stress is NOT an option ;-)]. Some people believe that meditation is a good tool to promote relaxation and manage stress, others believe physical exercises can do the same. I know when I am really stressed, meditation is the last thing I need to do, I need the release of physical energy before I can even consider meditation. After a good work-out (which could simply just be a brisk walk outside for 30 minutes) I am much more inclined to effectively meditate, but that is me. Everyone has a different way of dealing with stress, and relieving it.

Physical activity does release endorphins, which do make you feel better. So, if you can do physical activity for a brief time, you may feel better and then be able to get a better perspective of how to handle the stressors of your life. Stress is a part of life, the key is to find ways to manage it so it doesn't manage you. If you continue to remain stressed, it is like having your body in overdrive for extended periods of time. That will wear your body down and you will start finding that you are not as healthy as you used to be.

Little things will wear you out, little annoyances will seem huge, you may find that you catch colds easier, or your allergies bug you more. If you start seeing some of these warning signs, take a step back and ask yourself, "Are you healthy?"

We at Hawgwash, LLC may have some nutritional items that could help reduce the effects of stress on your body, but you will need to not just rely on nutritional products to keep you healthy. Nutritionals are good in addition to a healthy lifestyle, but do not expect the nutritional products to "fix" all that is unhealthy in you. A sound nutrition and exercises plan are among the most important factors in reducing your stress levels. If you are interested in working towards improved health, please check out our website, we carry two types of nutritional products that may work well with your lifestyle. One is Stem Cell Nutritionals by STEMTech, which help support your natural stem cell physiology. The other nutritional product is a variety of juice blends by MonaVie.

If you have questions regarding either of these nutritional lines, please feel free to contact us at hawgwash1@yahoo.com. We would love to hear from you and we will strive to answer your questions quickly and accurately.

How is Your Pet's Health?

Today we went back to the Surgeon to find out how our little Yorkie, Hawg, is healing. For those of you who may have missed the last several days of blogs, Hawg, had to go in to the Animal Hospital for emergency surgery, he had kidney stones that he could not pass. This is a scary experience for anyone who cares about their pets, but even more frightening when you are not near your home and have to go to an unknown vet in a town you are visiting. How is your pet's health?

We thought our Hawg was healthy. We take both him and Gypsy in to the vet for their annual physical, we get their annual shots and nothing came up as unusual for either dog. We were introduced to a new nutritional line of products that are completely different from all the others we have seen on the market. This line of nutritional products from STEMTech are based around naturally increasing the amount of your own adult stem cells in your circulatory system so that your body can better replenish and refresh itself. I have been taking StemEnhance since late December and started taking StemFLO in early February.

Personally I have seen significant improvements in my overall quality of life since I started on the STEMTech products and expect to continue to see improvements overall. Since STEMTech also offers stem cell nutritional products for Dogs and Horses, I figured that if I was experiencing improved quality of life issues, then perhaps our dogs could also benefit from the same improvements in their quality of life. I started giving StemPETS to both of our dogs in mid-May.

If you know our dogs, their quality of life is pretty darned good, especially because they Hawg is 4 and Gypsy is almost 5 years old. They have been experiencing good health and are lean and active. I figured that in order to keep them happy and healthy, I should start them on the stem cell nutrition regimen early on so that they have a longer and better quality of life. Since they exhibited no health problems, I figured that taking StemPETS would keep them healthy and active over the years and that they may experience less aging issues along the line.

What I did not expect was to see the benefits of putting them on a nutritional product before problems arose. It appears that Hawg had been developing kidney stones for months, if not years prior to my putting him on StemPETS. The advantage that Hawg had because he had been on StemPETS for at least a month prior to this incident is that he remained relatively healthy and strong, even through the surgery.

The Surgeon was impressed with Hawg's overall health and was very impressed with how well Hawg recovered after his surgery. By day 3 after surgery (today), the bruising around Hawg's incision is almost completely gone. He has started playing with his toys again and wants to go on longer walks. He does not look like a dog that had major surgery three days ago. At Hawg's re-check after surgery, he was not running any fever and was as perky as ever. I would like to attribute Hawg's strong health and recovery to the fact that he had been on a steady regimen of StemPETS prior and right after his surgery.

If you have a dog or horse, how is your pet's health? StemPETS is a natural stem cell enhancer for your dog, and a great way to help them achieve optimal health. The tablets are chewable so you don't have to struggle with shoving a pill down your dog's throat. Better yet, the pills apparently taste great to the dogs, they eat the pills willingly, if not eagerly. Remember, as your pet ages, the amount of adult stem cells decreases. StemPETS supports your pet's ongoing health by supporting the natural release of your dog's adult stem cells from their bone marrow. You will be happy and your dogs will be very happy...and healthy.

If you have specific questions regarding StemPETS, please feel free to contact me at hawgwash1@yahoo.com.

Helping others and StemTech

For the last few days, we have been helping a dear friend catch up on miscellaneous work and help get her business chugging forward. Yesterday, we helped her to organize her garage so she could easily find what she needed when she needed it. (How many times have you wandered into your own garage, only to see a huge mess and not find what you initially went out to locate?). We were able to recruit her 18 year old son to get much of the heaving lifting done and by the end of the day, she had a great-looking garage, with everything neatly stored and sorted and on shelves for easy access.

Now that her garage is organized, we are working today with her in getting her StemTech business rocking and rolling. The StemTech products have been able to help her body feel a little better, thereby improving her quality of life. Because she is experiencing positive results, we want to help her to get the word out to her friends and associates to at least take a look at what StemTech products have to offer and see if perhaps those same products can help improve other people's quality of life.

Our ultimate goal here is to help her first to feel better. I know that sounds suspicious, since there are so many people out there looking to line their personal pockets with money first, but honestly, we would rather see her healthy and happy and then see all of us becoming financially free. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with the StemTech product line, they offer stem cell nutritional products that allow your body to naturally release it's own adult stem cells into the blood stream. It is being found that stem cells are the building blocks of the body, and if you have more adult stem cells floating around in your blood stream, you have a higher likelihood of those same stem cells repairing and/or replacing damaged cells and tissues in your body. If your body can naturally heal many of it's problems, your quality of life will improve. By taking the StemTech products, you are not putting additional chemicals and additives in your body and risking negative side effects. StemTech products are a completely natural botanical and in most people have been found to have no negative side effects.

Your own body makes and stores much of it's adult stem cells in the bone marrow. What some of the StemTech products do is to allow your body to release about 25% more of those stored stem cells into your circulatory system so that you have more adult stem cells essentially running around able to repair/replace cells and tissues faster. By being able to heal yourself faster, your quality of life improves, your attitude improves, and you want to go out and do more. We are working to help our friend resolve some of her stressors, so that she can continue to improve her quality of life, both physically (through StemTech) and mentally (by helping organize her garage for instance) so she can then have more energy to enjoy everything else.

So, we have been busy helping her with various small tasks, but more importantly, helping lighten her load so that she can focus on getting healthier. This is the best part about being in business for ourselves, we can not only work our business, but we can help others improve their quality of life without worrying about a job back home. One of our main business goals is to be able to help others improve their quality of life. Well, we need to get back to work and start working on a press release for her, so she can explode her business as her health continues to improve.

Until tomorrow...

Last Bashas Outdoor Marketplace for the Spring

Well, today's Bashas' Outdoor Marketplace was sort of bitter-sweet for us. Today marks the last day that we will participating in the Outdoor Marketplace until the Fall. Granted, there appear to only be about 3-4 more Marketplaces scheduled, through mid-June, but we will not be in town to participate.

Today's Marketplace was held at the Bashas' Grocery store in Gilbert, AZ. The day dawned beautiful and cool, a good sign for an outdoor event. By the time we got to the Gilbert store, the sun was already getting everything warm. The great news is that since it was cool all evening, it took time for the sun to warm everything up past comfortable. The participating vendors began appearing a little before 7 am and had a very orderly set up, even without assigned spaces.

Not having assigned spaces and an orderly set up is not something you usually see. Most vendors get a little crazy when there isn't assigned spots, and then they get a tad agressive towards others. What was really cool is that it appeared all the vendors got along with each other and none had any fits about where they set their booth up. A lot of that professionalism most likely came from the professionalism of the Store Manager, Paul Short. Even though there were no assigned spaces, Paul made sure all vendors knew where to begin setting up before they had parked their vehicles to start unloading. Setup was an extremely calm and wonderful affair. There are days where, even when we had assigned spaces, I wished for a very organized setup.

After all vendors were ready and open for business, we had an extremely large amount of people wandering around. Personally, I was very surprised at the people wandering the various booths at 8 am, but then, I have to remember that we are in Arizona, it gets HOT by noon. True to that, the temperatures started soaring. Depending on where you looked, today either broke the triple digits for the first time this year, or we didn't...

I know that sounds odd, but people here in Arizona track when we first break the triple digit barrier. As we drove past a Walgreen's, their display indicated it was 104, but all the other "official" websites I visited indicated it only got to 98 degrees. Wow, a difference of 6 degrees. Once temperatures get past 95, then in my book, anything is hot. It is either a measure of hot, hotter or painful. Today was only hot in my book. This was one of the rare times that anything over 95 really didn't make me feel bad. Perhaps I didn't respond to the heat like I usually do because I have been taking the STEMTech products for going on 6 months now. I will be keeping an eye on my heat tolerance and let you know if perhaps STEMTech products may help your body deal with extremes in temperatures better.

Well, back to the Bashas' Outdoor Marketplace today - we were all very busy up until about 12:30 pm, which was far busier than I had ever expected for this time of year, and for as warm as it had gotten by 10 am. The people that did wander around were also very eager to really look at what everyone had to offer. We have been at some events where people just walked up and down the isles, staying in the middle of the isles, and not even wandering close enough to any tables to see what may even be for sale. This event was different, the people looking, were actually interested in what we all had to offer. That was another wonderful experience today.

Overall, we had a great time at the Bashas' Outdoor Marketplace today and will be looking forward to participating in them once it cools off again in the Fall. Now we focus on our Motorcycle rallies, and traveling around the country meeting great people along the way. This is an extremely exciting time for us, and we look forward to getting on the road again very soon.

With luck, we may get to bump into some of you in our travels. Keep an eye on our Schedule of Events, that page is updated as we receive show confirmations. Perhaps you can attend one of the events we will be at. If so, please stop by and say "Hi".

Until tomorrow...

More Info on Hemp Hearts and Why

Well, today I finally tasted the sample products we received yesterday, Hemp Hearts. No, they didn't taste like chicken. They tasted like a cross between sunflower seeds and pine nuts. Not a bad flavor, and tasted great when mixed with yogurt. The jury is still out about whether this product can do what all the posted reports indicate, but it is only day one of my personal guinea pig trial...

You may all be wondering why I am allowing myself to test other nutritional products when I currently have one that I love dearly, STEMTech. There are several reasons why I keep an open mind towards other nutritional products. First off, the STEMTech products help promote healthy cell production and growth. StemEnhance and StemFLO do not necessarily provide nutrition to keep those new, healthy cells healthy. So, I am on the hunt for products to help keep the healthy developed cells healthy. We currently offer MonaVie nutritional drinks for maintaining healthy cells, but sometimes nutritional drinks alone do not inspire others. Some people may not like the taste of some of the MonaVie nutritional drinks, others may not want to spend the money on a nutritional drink.

So, I continue to search for alternative methods to maintain those healthy cells. For those of you that know me, I am always looking for the best of the best. That even includes waterless vehicle cleaning technology. If you have looked at my website, you will notice that I carry two different brands of waterless cleaning technology products (UltraLuster and Dri Wash 'n Guard). That is because I feel they both are currently the best in the field. I am always looking for the best in a particular field. I want to be able to offer my customers the best in the market, without them having to do all the research. The research is properly my job. Therefore, I am also searching the nutritional field for some of the best nutritional products out there.

What I have discovered is that there is a much bigger field in nutritional products than I had ever imagined. I knew on some level that there were a multitude of options, but wow, it is hard to figure out where to start. In order for me to narrow the field down a bit, (and really, that is still hard to do) I am trying to decide on what type of nutritional product I would like to focus on. The STEMTech products are revolutionary because they promote your own body's ability to restore and heal itself. The next question is which direction do I wish to take in order to keep those newly created healthy cells healthy.

I am not a medical doctor, nor have I had any medical training. What I have been doing is asking various health professionals what they would recommend for maintaining optimal health and why. Golly, the answers I get are as varied as the nutritional products that are on a health food store. So, back to my dilemma, what to do....

What I have decided to do is to look for new ideas in nutrition, some that have legitimate science behind them instead of empty theories and old wives tales. That does narrow the filed a lot, but still, it is difficult to sift through the statements to validate which has scientific basis and which are unsubstantiated claims. The Hemp Hearts concept has some scientific basis and has been recommended by many doctors, but it has not gone main stream. Not sure why, and will continue to dig until I understand the concepts more fully.

In the mean time, I will continue to use the samples that were graciously supplied to me by the distribution company and will keep you all posted on my personal results. I did have more energy today than yesterday, which is one of the claims of the distributor. But, the real key is in discovering if this new-found energy is continuous, day after day, or just because I had a good day today. I would really like to discover that Hemp Hearts will be an awesome nutritional, I love the concept that they promote, and technically the proteins, vitamins and enzymes that are listed are all the great things our human body needs. I will continue to monitor my personal physical results, and keep you appraised every few days.

In a nutshell, the product, Hemp Hearts, claim that they are the most concentrated source of essential nutrients known. Theoretically those that consume a set amount of Hemp Hearts each morning will notice that they have more energy, will expel wastes after every meal, and are not hungry until mid-afternoon. This product is also promoted as being able to allow a person to lose weight because by consuming Hemp Hearts will reduce your appetite and allow you to eat smaller portions of non-processed foods. If you follow their diet regimen, you could lose up to a pound a day. The Hemp Harts product claim to have sufficient nutrients for tissue health, sufficient long fiber roughage for colon health and sufficient energy for success and good mental health.

I promise to keep you posted.

Motorcycle Rally Event Today

Today we participated in a motorcycle event that was a lot of fun. It was called "One for the Son" and was located in Fort Lowell Park, Tucson, Arizona. It was a Christian Biker Fellowship event for 2010. We all had a wonderful time.

Actually we had so much fun that after the event started, I forgot to take pictures. The attached pictures show what our booth looks like (before the event began) and then once all the major festivities and activities ended, I had enough time to take a picture of the parking lot and then of the view we enjoyed while at the event.

This event was intended to benefit the local Christian charities: Victory Worship Center's Mobile Medical Clinic (helps local Tucson people with free medical care), Christian Faith Fellowship and the Church on the Street (has homeless programs that are open to all who walk in the door). The event had wonderful live music throughout the day and only relied on "canned" music when the bands needed a little rest. The music was modern and uplifting and (this is the best part) not too loud, but loud enough for everyone to hear clearly. We have been at many events where the music was so loud you could not carry on a conversation at all.

They also had face painting for the children in attendance, and there were quite a few children attending the event. There was also this really cool "train" made up of a lawn tractor, and five 50-gallon drums cut out and made into individual train cars. The children had an absolute blast being driven around the parking lot in this very different train. What was a lot of fun to watch was how much fun the "conductor" had while driving the children around the lot. He would turn the train so tightly that he could high-five the child in the last train car. Everyone (even those of us too old to fit in those drums) had an enjoyable time watching the antics of the train and the children in the train.

There were several vendors in attendance and lots of people wandering around checking out what was for sale. What made this event so wonderful was the fellowship shown by all the participants. Everyone came for a good time, and everyone seemed genuinely happy to meet and greet strangers. It is not usual for a motorcycle rally to be so welcoming to everyone who arrived, even general users of the park. We had bike games where many people did participate, there was a great bike show and finally a raffle for donated prizes. Again, what made the show and the games so enjoyable is that all motorcycles were welcomed. Not just Harley-Davidsons participated in the bike games and we saw some very interesting solutions to some of the biker games. No, I am not going to tell you how some people won, you will have to figure that out by yourself.

We had lots of opportunities to show how our Waterless Wash product, UltraLuster, worked on dirty motorcycles and cars, and also had the opportunity to talk to people about our new nutritional product, StemEnhance and StemFLO. Several people were interested in what a Stem Cell Nutritional product could do to benefit them, and we provided them enough information so they could make an informed decision.

If you have the opportunity to attend this event next year, I highly recommend it. It is family oriented, and bikes and people of all ages were welcomed. Since it was an extremely long and windy day, this blog is ending now. I am pooped and more than a little wind-burned. Time for some much needed rest.

Until tomorrow...

Weekly Weight Loss Update for April

Well, today I would love to report that I lost weight, but alas, I did not. The good news is that I did not gain any extra weight. The good news is that it is my expectation that there will be more weight loss in the next few days. Because I have been eating a LOT of beans, I suspect that my lack of significant weight loss is mainly related to water retention. As we have talked about before, if I do not drink a lot of water each day, my body loves to retain the water that I do consume.

Also, as you are all most likely aware, eating beans can really make you bloat. I received this awesome recipe for Taco Soup and unfortunately it uses 4 cans of different beans in the recipe. The flavors are awesome, but my body does like to retain the water from all of those relatively salty beans. Since I do not cook with salt, if I cook with food that is prepared with salt, my body does have issues. Even though salt is important for maintaining proper fluid balance between the water in and around our cells as well as in our blood, too much salt may contribute to kidney and circulatory problems. My body is highly sensitive to salt, and if I consume a fair amount of salt from prepared foods, I do have circulatory problems (mainly swelling). I need to drink more water than usual to flush out the extra salt, and since I have been on the road the majority of the week I have been guilty of not drinking nearly enough water to flush my system.

What else I have discovered is that when I stop drinking my minimum of 95 oz of water a day, it takes me several days to get back into the habit of drinking that much water again. As it stands, I didn't even drink much coffee while on the road, so I seriously dehydrated my system this last week. I know that in the next few days, some weight will come off. I have started walking again and with my increased water consumption, my body will get back into the proper swing of things.

Despite all the abuse I have put my body through this last week, I am happy to report that I did not forget to take my StemEnhance and StemFLO. I suspect that if I did not take these two products, my health would be much worse (I have been flirting with a cold, but it really hasn't slowed me down, thanks in a large part to the StemTECH products). This is now month 4 for me taking full doses of the StemTECH products and I have been seeing great physical results. We will talk more about that in another blog.

My expectation is that by next week there will be significant weight loss.

On a fun note, I am happy to report that I found a hat (I LOVE hats) that I purchased many, many years ago and could not wear because the material makes my head itch. Instead of giving the hat away, I finally found the perfect solution for wearing the hat. I had made some DogDanas for our dogs and had extra bandanna material just kicking around the house. I folded the remaining fabric and stitched it to the inside brim of this hat that I have always loved but discovered I couldn't wear. I am extremely happy to report that the stitching of the bandanna to the inside brim of the hat has solved my itchy problem. I have been able to wear this awesome hat for two days (I did take it off to shower and sleep...) with no ill effects to my head. I am happy as can be to have essentially a "new" hat to wear around. I even had enough fabric to make some really cool hat bands for this hat too. So, the next time some of you see me, you will probably see me with my "new" hat on. Simple minds, simple pleasures.

Until tomorrow...
